Organizational Colors

The US Army Sergeants Major Academy is a military education institution located at Fort Bliss, Texas, and dedicated to broadening the knowledge base of senior non-commissioned officers primarily in the United States Army, but the school is also open to a limited number of senior NCOs from other branches of service. The school was established by General Order in July 1972, and instruction of the first class of sergeants major began in January 1973. The US Army Sergeants Major Academy falls under the authority of US Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC).

The flag consists of the Academy's coat of arms centered on a blue field. For indoor or parade use, the flag also sports a white fringe and the award streamer for the US Army's Superior Unit Award (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superior_Unit_Award), bearing the white inscription "USASMA 2009."
